తెరచి చూస్తే తరతరాల చరిత్రలు,
వెలిగిపోతాయి రాజుల వైభోగాలతో, వీరుల విజయగాధలతో.
తరచితరచి చూస్తే మానవీయ కోణంలో
బయటపడతాయి సామాన్యుల కన్నీటి గాధలు.
ఖండాలు దాటిన రోమను సామ్రాజ్యపు చక్రాలను
కదిలించాయి బానిసల చెమట చుక్కలు.
సూర్యుడస్తమించని బ్రిటిషు సామ్రాజ్యాన్ని
కమ్ముకున్నాయి జాత్యహంకారపు నీలినీడలు.
అగ్రరాజ్యపు అమెరికా దేశ పునాదులను
నిలిపాయి లెక్కలేని ఆదివాసీల సమాధులు.
మహాగోప్పదని మురిసిపోయే మన భారత చరిత్ర
కుళ్ళిపోయిన కులవ్యవస్థతో అయ్యింది అపవిత్రం.
అందుకే అన్నారు కాబోలు

ReplyDeletei know that there are a lot of good things in past and i am not a pessimist to miss them. but my main problem is the way the history is constructed. In most of the cases it is about kings and warriors and less about common people and their problems. My dissatisfaction is regarding with this aspect of the history
